For the occasion of the African Traditional Medicine Day, celebrated on the 31st of August, the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Arts especially the National Museums and the Seychelles National Heritage Resource Council will be organizing two Exhibitions entitled: ‘Valorization of Coffee’ and “Medicinal and Edible Starfruit”
The Exhibition by the Seychelles National Museums will feature coffee, aiming at its rich traditions that started with our forefathers, and how it was an important aspect of Seychellois culture and history.
Whereas, the Seychelles National Heritage Resource Council exhibition will feature the “Medicinal and Edible” properties of starfruit with the aim to encourage people to use natural products to boost up their health system and valorize traditional practices by our past generations. There will also be an open Bazaar.
On this special day, The Lansiv café will be offering 10% discount on all coffee products.
We encourage the public in general to take this opportunity to learn more and experience the traditions and our local coffee which will be available to taste.
The exhibitions and bazaar will be officially open as from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on 31st August 2023. The exhibitions will remain open until the 8th of September 2023 during the museum working hours whereas the bazaar will be closed on the same day.
