The Conservation Unit
The Museum collection section/ conservation unit focuses on the development and care of the museum’s collections, and is consistent with the mission of the museum and ensuring that a professional standard is well maintained. This section ensures that:
- The Museum collections are accounted for by an annual inventory and that its collections are well documented and updated on the collections management database.
- The Museum collections are protected, secure, cared for and preserved.
- Acquisitions and loans of works in the collections are conducted in professional manner in accordance to the museum’s mission, and that it complies with applicable law and reflects the highest ethical standards.
- Access to the collections in the galleries, storages and museum reserve and its collection information is closely monitored regularly.
